After you have taken down the tinsel, put away the presents, you will then have the tricky job of disposing of your Christmas tree. This January we are joining together with many different groups in the community to do something green and recycle your used real Christmas trees to raise cash for hospice services and other local good causes. So rather than wrestling the tree into your car, and dealing with the problematic needles for months to come, put your tree to good use and allow it to make a real difference to local people.

This collection will make a huge difference to both the hospice and the wider community. This January we are working in partnership with many local groups and businesses to ensure we provide an excellent collection and the trees go make an environmental difference for the local area.

We will be supported by some amazing Volunteers from Abergele Round Table, Anwyl Construction, Rotary Club of Denbigh, Rotary Club of Flint & Holywell, Rotary Club of Prestatyn, Rotary Club of Rhyl, SP Energy Networks, Thorncliffe, Woods Motorcycles

This year the trees will be put to good use by:

Flintshire County Council aiding with coastal defences in Talacre

Welsh Mountain Zoo aiding with feeding animals and providing materials to build animal shelters

Llysfasi College, Ruthin providing material for student training. These will be used to produce compost.
